São Paulo cities launch various free cultural and educational programs

Various cultural and educational initiatives are being launched across the state of São Paulo, Brazil. In Mogi das Cruzes, the CULTSP PRO program is offering free courses in Creative Economy and Curatorship, with 35 available spots for professionals.

In Indaiatuba, the Projeto Guri is accepting registrations for free music courses aimed at children, adolescents, and young adults, as well as musical initiation for adults. Registrations must be completed in person at the Centro Cultural Wanderley Peres.

Sorocaba is hosting several cultural events. The Sorocaba Historical Museum is organizing an eco-art therapy workshop titled ‘A Árvore que Sou: Arte, Natureza e Autoconhecimento no Museu’, led by artist Merielin Gomes on August 28. Additionally, the Sorocaba City Hall is opening registrations for the ‘Prof. Flávio Gagliardi’ Visual Arts Prize, which offers up to five awards of R$ 5,000 to local artists for works produced between 2024 and 2025.
