Mogotes Metals expands exploration plans for 2026–2027
Mogotes Metals has announced expanded exploration plans for the 2026–2027 period across its international project portfolio, focusing on copper, gold, and silver targets.
At the Filo Sur project, located between Argentina and Chile, the company intends to increase drilling to up to 20,000 meters, more than tripling the previous season's activity. Drilling is expected to resume in November 2026, pending weather and site access. Key targets include Albor, Cruz del Sur, Luz del Sol, and the Macho Muerto fault zone.
In Kazakhstan, the Beskauga project will see intensified drilling of up to 50,000 meters. The company expects to receive initial assay results in the fourth quarter of 2026 and aims to complete a preliminary economic assessment within 12 months.
At the Copper Cliff project in Montana, USA, Mogotes Metals plans between 8,000 and 9,000 meters of drilling. This program is subject to permits and is part of an option for a joint venture with Kennecott, a subsidiary of Rio Tinto.
