Mogotio ESP Market opens in Baringo County

The Mogotio Economic Stimulus Programme (ESP) Market in Baringo County is now fully operational. Commissioned by President William Samoei Ruto in January 2026, the facility aims to provide traders with a safer and more organized environment, moving commerce away from congested roadside spaces.

Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo stated that the market features 204 smart stalls and includes cold-storage facilities to improve the handling and preservation of goods. The facility is designed to serve as a functional commercial hub, offering amenities such as a food court, ICT room, lactating room, SACCO office, ATM booth, and modern sanitation facilities.
