Mohamed Amine Amoura set to join Benfica from VfL Wolfsburg

Algerian international striker Mohamed Amine Amoura is on the verge of completing a transfer from Bundesliga side VfL Wolfsburg to Portuguese club Sport Lisboa e Benfica. The move follows a medical examination scheduled in Lisbon and is expected to be finalized within days.

Wolfsburg, recently relegated to Germany's 2. Bundesliga, is prepared to accept a fee of roughly €20 million, far below the €40 million they demanded a year earlier. Union Saint‑Gilloise, Amoura’s former club, will benefit from a 15 percent sell‑on clause, earning additional revenue from the deal. The transfer marks a step up for Amoura, who was the top scorer for Wolfsburg this season with eight goals and has attracted interest from several top European clubs.
