Mohamed Ould Rachid holds parliamentary talks in Tanzania
Mohamed Ould Rachid, President of the Moroccan House of Councilors, held a series of bilateral meetings with various parliamentary leaders in Arusha, Tanzania. These discussions took place on the sidelines of the 153rd General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
During talks with Moussa Azzan Zongo, Speaker of the National Assembly of the United Republic of Tanzania, both parties emphasized the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in strengthening bilateral ties. The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation, exchanging expertise, and increasing coordination between the two legislative institutions.
The meetings also highlighted Morocco’s vision for South-South cooperation and African integration. Key initiatives mentioned include the Royal Initiative to provide Sahel countries access to the Atlantic Ocean and the Atlantic African Gas Pipeline project, aimed at positioning Morocco as an economic hub for the continent.
