Mohamed Salah reaches rare European football milestone with Trabzonspor
Mohamed Salah has achieved a rare statistical milestone in European football following Trabzonspor’s 4-2 victory over Finnish side KuPS in the UEFA Conference League. By recording both a goal and an assist in the match, Salah became only the third player in history to score and assist across the three major European competitions: the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League, joining Cody Gakpo and Mario Götze.
During the match, Salah provided an assist in the third minute and scored his 61st European club goal in the 44th minute. His performance brings his total European club goal tally to 65, equaling Erling Haaland for 11th place on the all-time scoring list. He is now just two goals away from matching the 67-goal records of Edin Džeko and Andriy Shevchenko.
Since joining Trabzonspor, Salah has demonstrated significant impact, contributing to 12 goals in 10 official matches. This includes 7 goals and 3 assists in the Trendyol Süper Lig. His recent form has positioned him as a key leader for the club as they prepare for upcoming fixtures, including a match against Beşiktaş.
