A lifelong Liverpool supporter, 74‑year‑old Beryl Mealand, recounted meeting Salah in the tunnel and receiving a personal greeting before the match. She praised his on‑field achievements – 257 goals at Anfield, two league titles and a Champions League win – and his off‑field kindness, calling him “lovely” and saying he will be missed. Salah’s farewell is set for the Brentford fixture, marking his final appearance in a Liverpool shirt after nine seasons since his 2017 arrival from Roma.
