Mohamed Salah leaves Egypt national team camp amid conflicting reports

Speculation has emerged regarding Mohamed Salah’s sudden departure from the Egypt national team camp following a match against Angola. While the Egyptian Football Federation officially stated that Salah was being rested to avoid injury risks associated with the artificial turf in the upcoming South Sudan match, conflicting reports have surfaced.

Some reports suggest Salah left the camp abruptly after the Angola match, reportedly sending a farewell message to his teammates on WhatsApp. However, journalist Mohamed Shabana has countered claims that artificial turf was the reason for his absence. Shabana stated that the concerns regarding synthetic pitches are unfounded and that Salah requested special permission to leave the camp to protect his newborn son, Leil, from a virus spreading in Sudan that poses a risk to those with weakened immune systems.
