Mohamed Salah misses Cairo court hearing over legal fee dispute

Mohamed Salah failed to appear at a hearing at the New Cairo Court of First Instance on Sunday. The player was ordered to attend in person to take a decisive legal oath regarding a dispute over unpaid legal and administrative fees.

The lawsuit was filed by lawyer Amr Faragallah, who claims he is owed compensation for legal work, consultancy services, and administrative procedures. Faragallah is seeking approximately 255,000 Egyptian pounds in unpaid fees, along with compensation for material and moral damages, and the coverage of all court costs.

The dispute is reportedly based on a general power of attorney issued by Salah to Faragallah on July 20, 2012. The lawyer maintains that this document remained valid until the professional relationship ended in August 2025. The court had required Salah to appear to formally deny the claims of work performed and the existence of any outstanding financial liabilities.
