Mohamed Salah close to joining Besiktas as free agent

Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah, who left Liverpool after the 2025‑26 season, is poised to sign for Turkish giants Besiktas. The club has submitted a final offer – a one‑year contract worth about €12 million per year with an option for a second season – and gave the player until Monday to respond. Besiktas president Serdal Adalı announced that the official proposal was delivered and that negotiations on bonuses and the agent’s commission have been resolved. Reports also say Salah’s family is supportive of a move to Turkey, which would be one of the most high‑profile signings in the Süper Lig.

The deal would see the 34‑year‑old free‑agent join Besiktas without a transfer fee, potentially strengthening the club’s chances in domestic and European competitions and raising its global profile.
