Mohamed Salah receives six-month driving ban in England
Former Liverpool footballer Mohamed Salah has been issued a six-month driving ban in England. The penalty follows an incident in March where his Rolls-Royce Spectre was caught speeding in Wilmslow, Cheshire.
According to court documents, the vehicle was recorded traveling at 36 mph in a 30 mph zone. Salah was convicted via a ‘Single Justice Procedure’ after failing to identify the driver of the vehicle when requested by the Cheshire police. While the speeding charge itself was dropped, the refusal to provide driver details resulted in the ban and a fine of approximately £1,044, which includes court costs and victim surcharges.
The ruling comes shortly after Salah's departure from Liverpool to join the Turkish club Trabzonspor. Because he is currently playing in Turkey, the driving ban in the United Kingdom is expected to have minimal impact on his daily activities.
