Mohamed Salah to miss Egypt's match against South Sudan

Egypt national team coach Hossam Hassan has confirmed that captain Mohamed Salah will miss the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations 2027 qualifier against South Sudan as a precautionary measure. The decision is due to the match being played on artificial turf, a factor Hassan noted has led to Salah's absence in previous matches against Cape Verde and Mauritania.

Hassan emphasized that there is no internal crisis within the squad, stating that the relationship between players is built on respect and friendship. He noted that the team is prepared for various conditions, including heat and pitch quality. Egypt enters the match following a scoreless draw against Angola.
