Mohamed Salah poised for move to Turkish club Beşiktaş

Egyptian captain Mohamed Salah, 34, is a free agent after ending his contract with Liverpool and is in advanced talks with Turkish Süper Lig side Beşiktaş. Reports from multiple Turkish outlets say a verbal agreement has been reached for a one‑year deal with an option for a second year, offering a guaranteed salary of about €10‑12 million per season plus bonuses that could raise total earnings to €15 million. Salah is said to have lowered his initial €15 million demand, while Beşiktaş has reportedly proposed a €12 million net guarantee. Club president Serdar Adalı is leading the negotiations, and Salah’s lawyer has been in Istanbul. The club has issued a statement calling the claims of journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoğlu “pure imagination” and accusing him of misinforming the public. Salah’s agent Ramy Abbas remarked, “We still don’t know where Mohamed will play next season,” underscoring that no official confirmation has been made. The story reflects a high‑profile potential transfer that would be one of the biggest signings in Turkish football history.
