Mohamed Sanhadji placed under investigation for corruption

Mohamed Sanhadji, the former security and logistics manager for the French national football team, has been placed under formal investigation for corruption. The investigation, led by the Paris Prosecutor's Office, concerns a donation of 60,300 euros made to Sanhadji by Kylian Mbappé following the 2022 World Cup, which was reportedly not disclosed to his superiors.

As part of his judicial supervision, Sanhadji is prohibited from contacting current or former players, staff, coaches, or officials of the French Football Federation (FFF). He is also barred from entering specific locations, including the FFF headquarters, the Clairefontaine training center, the Stade de France, and the Parc des Princes, unless granted express permission by a magistrate.

Additionally, Sanhadji has been ordered to pay an 80,000 euro bond and is prohibited from engaging in any professional activities within the national police or the professional sports sector, including work for any domestic or international football federations or clubs. The investigation aims to determine the exact circumstances of the donation and whether any other complicity exists.
