US deploys Patriot missile batteries to Saudi Arabia and Qatar

The United States has deployed two additional Patriot missile batteries to Saudi Arabia and Qatar to protect critical energy infrastructure. One battery was sent to Saudi Arabia to secure a major oil facility, while the other was deployed to Qatar to defend a natural gas facility.

These deployments come as President Donald Trump considers renewing a bombing campaign against Iran in the coming weeks. The move is intended to reassure regional allies that their vital oil and gas assets will be protected from potential Iranian retaliation if US military operations against Tehran resume.

In addition to the missile systems, the US is increasing its military presence in the Middle East by sending warships, fighter jets, and troops. This includes the USS Theodore Roosevelt aircraft carrier and its strike group, which departed San Diego and is expected to reach the region by mid-November.
