Mohammad Mohebi signs two-year deal with HNK Rijeka

Mohammad Mohebi has officially signed a two-year contract with the Croatian football club HNK Rijeka. The 27-year-old Iranian international joins the team as a free agent following his tenure with the Russian club Rostov.

Mohebi, a versatile player capable of operating as a winger, attacker, or midfielder, previously played for clubs including Shahin Bushehr, Sepahan, Esteghlal, and the Portuguese side Santa Clara. He gained international recognition during the recent World Cup, where he scored for Iran in a 2-2 draw against New Zealand.

Upon joining the club, Mohebi expressed his enthusiasm for Rijeka’s ambitions and history, stating his desire to help the team compete for trophies. He noted that his previous experiences in European leagues like Portugal and Russia would provide valuable expertise to the squad.
