Mohammed bin Salman reaffirms support for Yemen and regional security

In an annual speech to the Shura Council, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman reaffirmed the Kingdom’s comprehensive support for the internationally recognized Yemeni government. He emphasized the goal of restoring stability and sovereignty to Yemen while countering Houthi militia attacks, which he stated threaten both Yemen and the wider region.

The Crown Prince noted that while Saudi Arabia is making every effort to reduce regional escalation and support diplomatic solutions, the Kingdom will not hesitate to respond firmly to any threats against its security. He highlighted that Gulf security is indivisible and expressed pride in the Saudi armed forces for their readiness to defend the nation.

Regarding global energy, bin Salman positioned Saudi Arabia as a vital stabilizer for international markets. He stated that the Kingdom continues to ensure the security of energy supplies and the protection of maritime corridors despite regional tensions. Additionally, he addressed economic developments, noting a 155% increase in non-oil exports since 2016 and outlining budget priorities for health and education.
