Mohammed Kaif accused of rape in Lucknow

Mohammed Kaif, the brother of Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami, has been accused of rape by a woman in Lucknow. The complainant filed a report with the DCP East, alleging that Kaif sexually assaulted her on multiple occasions in Delhi, Kolkata, Ghaziabad, and Lucknow under the false pretext of marriage.

The woman stated that she met Kaif through Instagram in 2020. She claims that after building a friendship and receiving promises of marriage, she became intimate with him. The complainant, who previously worked as cabin crew for an airline in Delhi, alleged that she even left her job based on the assurance of marriage.

Following the complaint, the ACP of Vibhutikhand has been directed to investigate the matter. Police are currently looking into the allegations.
