Mohammed Shami to play 100th First-Class match in Duleep Trophy final
Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami is set to play his 100th First-Class match as he represents East Zone in the Duleep Trophy final against South Zone at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. To mark this milestone, the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) will felicitate Shami with a signed ball and jersey from CAB president and former India captain Sourav Ganguly.
Shami, who has claimed 382 wickets in 99 First-Class matches, has been working toward a return to the national side. His recent domestic performance includes a five-wicket haul in both innings during the Duleep Trophy semifinal against Central Zone.
Financially, Shami's career includes significant earnings from the Indian Premier League (IPL), including a 10 crore INR purchase by Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2025 and a subsequent move to Lucknow Super Giants in 2026. His income is further supplemented by brand endorsements with companies such as Nike and Puma, as well as BCCI match fees for international appearances.
