Mohammed Siraj returns to India ODI XI against West Indies
Mohammed Siraj returned to India's ODI playing XI for the third match against the West Indies at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Stadium. After being rested for the first two matches of the series, Siraj made an immediate impact by clean bowling West Indies opener John Campbell for 10 runs.
India entered the series finale with an unassailable 2-0 lead. After winning the toss and electing to bat, the Indian side posted a total of 351 for 7 in their 50 overs. The match served as a developmental opportunity for the bowling unit, featuring Siraj alongside debutant Anshul Kamboj.
Prior to his recall, commentator Aakash Chopra had questioned the decision to rest Siraj during the first two games, noting that his absence was unexpected given the rotation of other senior bowlers. Siraj's return follows a period of rest intended to prepare for upcoming international commitments.
