Mohammed U. refused psychological testing in Alblasserdam stabbing case

Mohammed U., the 46-year-old man accused of stabbing a teacher, Meester Recep, during a school musical in Alblasserdam in July 2025, has refused to cooperate with psychological evaluations at the Pieter Baan Centrum (PBC).

During a brief hearing in Rotterdam, prosecutors noted that because the suspect refused to answer questions from psychologists and psychiatrists during his seven-week observation, experts were unable to draw conclusions regarding potential mental disorders or determine his legal accountability. The incident occurred during a dispute between two fathers following a conflict between students.

The suspect remains in custody. The court is considering potential trial dates in late 2026 or early 2027.
