Mohan Bhagwat blames human error for Kolkata Durga Puja stampede

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat attributed the deadly stampede at a Durga Puja pandal in Kolkata to human error rather than natural causes. Speaking at the RSS Vijayadashami event in Nagpur, Bhagwat stated, “Nature cannot be held responsible for it. Human error is responsible,” regarding the tragedy at the Chorebagan pandal.

The stampede, which occurred during Maha Saptami amidst heavy rainfall and large crowds, resulted in the deaths of at least 19 people.

During his address, Bhagwat also discussed the misuse of social media and the dangers of fake AI-generated videos. He further commented on environmental sustainability, noting that the exploitation of the Himalayan region by certain countries is not sustainable development.
