Mohan Bhagwat celebrates 76th birthday

Mohan Bhagwat, the Sarsanghchalak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), celebrated his 76th birthday on September 11, 2026. Born in Chandrapur, Maharashtra, in 1950, Bhagwat transitioned from a career in veterinary science to full-time dedication to the RSS.

Since assuming leadership of the organization in 2009, succeeding K.S. Sudarshan, Bhagwat has focused on themes of social harmony, nation-building, and Indian culture.

Prominent political figures, including External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, extended their greetings. Leaders praised his dedication to national service and his role in strengthening cultural values and social unity.
