Mohan Bhagwat hoists flag at RSS headquarters in Nagpur

Mohan Bhagwat, the Sarsanghchalak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), hoisted the national flag at the organization's headquarters in Nagpur to mark India's 80th Independence Day.

During his address, Bhagwat emphasized the importance of preserving the freedom achieved through the sacrifices of ancestors dating back to 1857. He spoke about the responsibility of the nation to maintain this independence and expressed the vision of making India a ‘Vishwa Guru’ (world leader) nation.

Bhagwat also reflected on the symbolism of the Indian tricolor, stating that the saffron color represents dynamism, knowledge, and sacrifice; white symbolizes purity and peace; and green represents prosperity. He noted that prosperity is the ultimate result of sacrifice and purity.
