Mohan Yadav inspects Ujjain road widening for Simhastha 2028
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inspected road widening and development works along Rajsi Sawari Marg in Ujjain on August 20. The project is part of the infrastructure preparations for the Simhastha 2028 festival, which is expected to attract between 300 million and 400 million pilgrims.
The inspection covered the stretch from Kanthal Square to Sati Gate and Gopal Mandir. Specific plans include widening a 410-metre section from Kanthal Square to Chhatri Chowk to 15 metres, beautifying a 500-square-metre area at Kanthal Square, and developing the Shri Sati Mata Gate. Yadav also reviewed the construction of the new Collector’s Office.
The Chief Minister expressed gratitude to local residents and traders who voluntarily removed encroachments from their homes and commercial establishments to facilitate the widening project. He noted that cooperation from people of all faiths would help manage the massive influx of visitors and enhance the city's capacity for the religious event.
