Omkareshwar Ekatm Dham: CM Mohan Yadav lays foundation for Panchayatan Temple

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has laid the foundation stone for the Panchayatan Temple at Ekatm Dham in Omkareshwar. The ceremony involved the worship of 45 sacred stones and was attended by various religious leaders and saints.

The temple is designed in the traditional Nagara style and will utilize approximately 80,000 cubic feet of pink sandstone, similar to the material used for the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The structure will feature Lord Shiva in the central sanctum, with four subsidiary shrines dedicated to Vishnu, Surya, Ganesh, and Shakti in the corners, symbolizing the harmony of different spiritual traditions.

Construction is expected to take between two and three years. The project aims to promote the spiritual philosophy of Adi Shankaracharya and the principle of unity in diversity. Additionally, the Chief Minister announced that various development works, including the construction of ghats, will be completed in Omkareshwar ahead of the upcoming Simhastha festival.
