MOHI Food & Wine Festival returns to Morgan Hill to support hospitality education
The third annual MOHI Food & Wine festival is scheduled to take place on October 18 in downtown Morgan Hill, California. Organized by Chef Charlie Palmer and entrepreneur Frank Léal, the event features a variety of renowned chefs and local winemakers from across the state.
Participants include notable culinary figures such as Top Chef finalist Joe Shasto, Chef Shane McAnelly, and Chef Elizabeth Faulkner, alongside local talent like Chef Lance Ramhurst and Chef Emanuel Vasquez. The festival will showcase wine pairings from several featured wineries, including Bernardus Winery, Chandon, and Léal Vineyards.
The event serves as a fundraiser to support hospitality workforce development. Proceeds are directed toward providing youth with access to education, resources, and hands-on experiences to prepare them for careers as chefs, restaurateurs, and hoteliers. Last year, the festival raised $72,000 and hosted over 600 attendees.
