Mohibullah Mubin remanded for breaching Prime Minister Tarek Rahman's security
A Dhaka court has ordered a five-day remand for Mohibullah Mubin, 29, who was arrested for attempting to breach the security perimeter of Prime Minister Tarek Rahman during a political event.
The incident occurred on September 5 at the Bangladesh Agricultural Institute in the Tejgaon area. While the Prime Minister was entering a discussion session regarding the objectives and significance of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party, Mubin allegedly attempted to enter the designated security zone on a motorcycle.
Police filed charges under the Anti-Terrorism Act, alleging that Mubin and unidentified accomplices planned to disrupt the event and create instability. While Mubin was apprehended, his associates managed to flee the scene. The investigating officer requested a seven-day remand to determine the full extent of the plot and to identify other individuals involved in the incident.
