Mohsen Rezaei claims US policies have increased national debt
Mohsen Rezaei, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, stated that United States policies regarding Iran have resulted in an economic burden for both the American public and its allies.
Rezaei claimed that the administration of Donald Trump has significantly increased US debt, noting that the cost of borrowing is now 3.7 times higher than in 2020. This increase translates to an additional $3.7 billion in annual costs for every $100 billion of debt.
Furthermore, Rezaei highlighted the impact on Japan, suggesting that the rise in Japan's 10-year bond yield to approximately 3% signals the end of a US “free ride.”
