MOHU expands textile collection network in Hungary

MOHU Mol Hulladékgazdálkodási Zrt. is expanding its national textile collection network in Hungary. The company is providing free collection containers to municipalities, businesses, educational institutions, civil organizations, and other communities. As part of this service, MOHU also manages the regular emptying of the containers and the removal of the collected textile waste.

The network currently operates approximately 3,500 textile collection containers nationwide, following a capacity doubling in 2023. The expansion aims to move collection beyond public spaces into indoor locations, such as office buildings, factories, and schools, to facilitate easier waste separation for larger groups of people.

Additionally, MOHU has launched a residential portal for convenient online waste disposal billing. To encourage digital adoption, users who register for the platform between September 1, 2026, and November 30, 2026, will receive a one-time 1,000 HUF credit on their account.
