Mohun Bagan prepares to host Chennaiyin FC in first home ISL match

Mohun Bagan Super Giant is set to host Chennaiyin FC at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata for their first home match of the 2026-27 Indian Super League season. Following an opening-day loss to NorthEast United FC and a subsequent away victory against Sporting Delhi FC, Mohun Bagan aims to build momentum in front of their home supporters.

Chennaiyin FC enters the fixture seeking to improve their recent form after securing only two points from their first two matches, which included a loss to Bengaluru FC and a draw against FC Goa. The club has introduced several new players, including Ramon Tarque and Madih Talal, to bolster their squad.

Mohun Bagan faces potential selection challenges due to player fitness, with reports indicating Apuia is suffering from a fever and players Miguel and Alberto may not be fit for a full 90 minutes. Historically, Mohun Bagan has held the advantage in recent encounters, remaining unbeaten in their last four matches against Chennaiyin FC.
