Mohun Bagan secures Durand Cup quarterfinals spot with 6-0 win

Mohun Bagan Super Giant secured a place in the quarterfinals of the 135th Durand Cup following a 6-0 victory over the CISF Protectors at the Kishore Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata. The win allowed the Mariners to finish at the top of Group A with a perfect record of three wins from three matches.

Sahal Abdul Samad led the performance with a first-half hat-trick, scoring in the 17th, 19th, and 37th minutes. Other goals were contributed by Manvir Singh, Jamie Maclaren, and Tekcham Abhishek Singh. Under the management of Panagiotis Dilimperis, the team maintained high offensive pressure throughout the match, despite an early defensive stand by the CISF Protectors.
