Mohun Bagan Super Giant has advanced to the final of the 135th IndianOil Durand Cup after defeating NorthEast United in a penalty shootout. Following a 0-0 draw during regulation time, Mohun Bagan secured a 4-3 victory on penalties, aided by two crucial saves from goalkeeper Vishal Kaith.

Wet pitch conditions throughout the match hindered both teams' ability to maintain midfield control or execute sustained passing moves, leading both sides to rely on long balls and set-pieces. Despite several attempts, including a free-kick from Liston Colaco and a volley from Alaaeddine Ajaraie, neither side could break the deadlock during play.

Mohun Bagan Super Giant will face arch-rivals East Bengal FC in the final, which will be a highly anticipated Kolkata Derby scheduled for Sunday.
