Mohun Bagan Super Giants win Calcutta Football League 2026 title

Mohun Bagan Super Giants have won the Calcutta Football League (CFL) 2026 title, marking their first championship in the competition in eight years. In a decisive Super Six encounter at Barasat Stadium, the Mariners defeated Mohammedan SC 3-2.

Despite playing with only ten men after goalkeeper Deeprobhat Ghosh was sent off, Mohun Bagan secured the victory through two goals from Sahal Abdul Samad and a 73rd-minute winner by Sayan Banerjee. The win allowed Mohun Bagan to clinch the title directly, as both teams entered the final matchday undefeated with four points each.

The championship race also involved defending champions East Bengal FC, who faced Coal India on the final matchday of the season. While East Bengal remained in contention, Mohun Bagan's victory in their virtual final ensured they reclaimed the trophy.
