Mojang Studios introduces Bedrock Parties for Minecraft
Mojang Studios has introduced a new social feature for Minecraft Bedrock Edition called ‘Bedrock Parties’. This update is designed to simplify the process of playing with friends by allowing players to join temporary groups without the need for manual server configuration or a Realms subscription.
Players can create a party through the main menu by selecting the social icon and choosing the ‘Create Party’ option. Party leaders can manage privacy settings, set the party name, and control member access. If a leader leaves the session, leadership is automatically transferred to another member. The feature is available across multiple platforms, including Windows, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS.
Additionally, players can influence their gameplay experience using ‘seeds’—specific codes used to determine world generation patterns. By using seeds, players can ensure they spawn near specific biomes, villages, or landscapes, such as mountains or oceans, rather than relying on random generation.
