Mojmírovce assault case: Charges upgraded to robbery

Legal proceedings have advanced in the case of a brutal May attack on 12-year-old Vivien in Mojmírovce, near Nitra. A 17-year-old girl, identified by investigators as the primary perpetrator, failed in her attempt to challenge the formal charges.

The Nitra District Prosecutor's Office rejected the complaint filed by the accused's legal representative. Consequently, the legal classification of the incident has been upgraded from extortion to robbery and rioting.

The attack involved a group of youths who demanded money from the victim. After she provided 10 euros, the group physically assaulted her, filming parts of the incident to share online. Following the family's decision to file criminal charges, a vehicle parked in front of the victim's home was also severely damaged in an explosion, an incident currently under police investigation.
