Sidoarjo officials investigate sexual harassment allegations at local restaurant

The Deputy Regent of Sidoarjo, Mimik Idayana, and the Deputy Mayor of Surabaya, Armuji, visited 116° Resto in the Taman area on Wednesday to investigate reports of sexual harassment and unfair treatment of employees.

The investigation followed complaints from employees regarding their employer, identified as David. During the visit, which included legal counsel and officials from the Sidoarjo Police and the Manpower Office, several employees reported being forced to perform tasks outside their job descriptions and experiencing inappropriate treatment.

Deputy Regent Mimik Idayana emphasized her commitment to protecting workers within the Sidoarjo region, encouraging employees to speak truthfully about their experiences.
