Iran war reaches six-month milestone amid leadership uncertainty
Six months after the U.S. and Israel launched major combat operations against Iran on February 28, 2026, the conflict has evolved into a prolonged stalemate with significant global economic and humanitarian consequences.

While President Trump has expressed confidence in the mission's progress, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi maintains that diplomacy remains possible only if U.S. economic pressure ceases.
