The 25th silver jubilee edition of the Dr. T. Ao Inter-District Football Tournament is scheduled to take place from October 13 to 31 at the Renpo Lu Astroturf Ground in Ungma, Mokokchung. Organized by the Nagaland Football Association (NFA) in collaboration with the Government of Nagaland and the Mokokchung District Football Association, the event will feature teams from all 17 districts.

The 17 participating districts have been divided into four groups: Group A includes Mon, Dimapur, Zunheboto, Noklak, and Kiphire; Group B consists of Kohima, Tseminyu, Shamator, and Longleng; Group C features Meluri, Tuensang, Wokha, and Mokokchung; and Group D comprises Niuland, Chümoukedima, Phek, and Peren.

In addition to the trophy, the tournament serves as a scouting platform for the NFA to select players for state squads competing in the Nagaland Olympics and the Santosh Trophy. Infrastructure preparations at the venue, including the completion of the astroturf and the installation of a floodlighting system, are currently being finalized to ensure all amenities are ready for the competition.
