Mola Park becomes a social hub for Kocaeli resident İlyas Karabulut

İlyas Karabulut, a 76-year-old resident of Başiskele, has become a regular visitor to Mola Park in İzmit, Kocaeli. The park, established by the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, serves as a central social hub for citizens of all ages.

Karabulut visits the park nearly every day during the summer months to socialize and rest. Depending on the weather, he either walks much of the distance from Başiskele or utilizes public transportation. He frequently visits the Halka Kafe located within the park for breakfast and tea, where he has developed close friendships with the staff.

Karabulut expressed high satisfaction with the facility, specifically noting the cleanliness, hygiene standards, and the polite, friendly demeanor of the employees. He also highlighted the municipality's responsiveness to citizen feedback and the availability of specialized services, such as the gluten-free cafe.
