Moldova advances economic governance and bilateral cooperation

Moldova is actively engaging in international forums to strengthen its economic governance and bilateral ties. At an OECD-Korea seminar in Paris, Oleg Bivol, Secretary of State for Economic Development and Digitalization, discussed the integration of artificial intelligence within state enterprises. The discussions focused on leveraging AI for data analysis and performance monitoring while addressing challenges such as cybersecurity, data protection, and transparency. Moldova is currently working to align its AI regulatory framework with European Union standards.

In Chișinău, the second Romania-Republic of Moldova Economic Forum was held to bolster economic partnerships between the two nations. National Bank of Moldova Governor Anca Dragu participated in the event, which aimed to convert institutional dialogue into concrete investments and joint projects. A key session moderated by Dragu addressed gender inequality in the financial sector, specifically focusing on women's access to financing and leadership roles. Dragu emphasized that equal involvement of women in financial decision-making is essential for sustainable economic growth and institutional resilience.
