Agriculture and industry developments across Europe

Various agricultural and industrial developments are taking place across Europe. In France, the 40th edition of the SPACE zootechnical fair is scheduled for September 15–17, 2026, in Rennes. The event expects 1,200 exhibitors and 14,000 international visitors to discuss animal health, biosecurity, and digital farming technologies.

In Moldova, Agriculture Minister Eugeniu Osmochescu stated there is currently no economic justification for extending grain and oilseed import licensing. He emphasized the need for a comprehensive analysis to assess the impact on the entire value chain and warned of potential consequences for international trade relations and WTO obligations.

In Romania, several regional events are noted. The Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad will host the AGROMALIM 2026 conference during an international agriculture fair in Arad, focusing on food engineering and sustainable development. In Cluj-Napoca, the Harvest Days event will showcase local producers and artisans from September 18–20. Additionally, the ExpoApa 2026 exhibition in Bucharest highlighted the need for new financing models for the water industry following the 2027 cycle, emphasizing infrastructure resilience and climate change adaptation.
