Moldova allocates 700 million lei for regional and urban development

The Moldovan Government has modified the Single Program Document (DUP) for 2025-2027 to include new local development projects. An estimated 708 million lei will be allocated to implement these initiatives, with approximately 632.8 million lei coming from the National Fund for Regional and Local Development.

The update includes 29 new conceptual notes: 15 focused on regional development and 14 on urban development. The regional projects aim to stimulate economic growth and improve living standards by ensuring access to water and sewage services. The urban development projects target the modernization of elevators in several residential buildings in the capital to reduce maintenance costs, increase safety, and improve service quality for residents.

Following this decision, the Single Program Document will encompass 657 regional development projects and 1,866 local development projects.
