Moldova economic outlook predicts price increases for Q4 2026
According to the National Bureau of Statistics of Moldova, business managers anticipate moderate price increases for products and services during the fourth quarter of 2026. While economic activity is expected to show slight growth, sales revenues and employment numbers are projected to remain relatively stable.
The construction sector expects the most significant price hikes, with a conjuncture balance of +22%, alongside moderate growth in economic activity (+13%) and sales revenues (+10%). The manufacturing industry anticipates a +14% increase in prices and a +9% growth in economic activity, though sales revenues (+3%) and employee numbers (-2%) are expected to remain stable.
In the retail and services sector, expectations are more cautious. Managers project a zero balance for economic activity, a -3% change in sales revenues, and a -4% change in the number of employees, while sales prices are expected to rise by 5%. Over half of the surveyed companies reported difficulties in operations, primarily citing a lack of market demand.
