On 4 August 2026, Moldova’s Minister of Health, Alexandru Gasnaș, conducted a working visit to Spitalul Clinic Bălţi. During the meeting he introduced the newly appointed interim director, Ludmila Capcelea, and outlined the ministry’s priorities for stabilising the hospital’s operations. Gasnaș stressed the need for transparent administration, professional work conditions, and improved collaboration among staff to ensure safe, high‑quality patient care.

The minister highlighted the hospital’s strategic role as the main medical institution in the country’s northern region and announced that the Ministry of Health will support measures to strengthen management processes, address infrastructure needs, and monitor progress through a thematic control audit.
