Moldova hosts Romanian launch of book on Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact
The Romanian edition of the volume ‘The Division of Europe: Consequences of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact. Perspectives from Central and Eastern Europe’ has been launched at the National Museum of History of Moldova.
The book examines the impact of the August 23, 1939, pact on the states and societies of Central and Eastern Europe, focusing on its influence on history, collective memory, and regional political developments. The launch event brought together historians, researchers, and students, providing an opportunity to engage with the authors of the original German edition.
Organized by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation's Moldova office in partnership with the National Association of Young Historians of Moldova and the National Museum of History of Moldova, the publication was released by Cartier Publishing. The project complements an itinerant exhibition that has previously been hosted by 15 regional history museums across the Republic of Moldova.
