Moldova initiates bridge reconstruction and flood defense projects

Infrastructure projects are underway in Moldova to improve transportation and flood defenses. On the R22 national road in the Telenești district, traffic near Zăicani has been redirected to a 190-meter temporary bypass. This measure facilitates the capital repair of the bridge over the Ciulucul Mic river, which involves demolishing the existing structure and constructing a new 59.25-meter bridge. The project, valued at 34.44 million lei, is funded by the Road Fund and is expected to be completed by late September 2027.

In the Anenii Noi district, the Țelița village administration has issued a repeated tender for a technical project to open and operate a clay extraction pit. The extracted material is intended for the construction and rehabilitation of protective dikes along the Nistru River to strengthen flood defenses.
