Labor market reports show job vacancies in Romania and placements in Moldova

Labor market data from Romania and Moldova show varying employment trends for 2026. In Romania, there are 29,723 vacant positions nationwide according to the National Agency for Employment (ANOFM). High-demand roles include road transport drivers, couriers, and construction workers. In Mureș County specifically, 724 vacancies are available, with the highest concentrations in commerce, HoReCa, and logistics.

In Moldova, the ANOFM reported that 15,083 people have found employment since the beginning of 2026. Of these, 4,525 were registered unemployed individuals. The service sector accounted for 34.2% of these placements, followed by agriculture at 17.5% and wholesale and retail trade at 14.4%. Demographic data shows that 42.1% of those employed are women, and 18.3% are individuals over the age of 55.
