Moldova launches AI platform to predict high school admission odds

A free online tool powered by artificial intelligence has been introduced in Chișinău to help parents and students estimate their chances of securing a place in a desired high school. The platform, developed by IT entrepreneur Ghenadii Ganebnyi, analyses publicly available data from the e‑school website, including admission statistics, average grades and the number of available seats, to calculate a probability of acceptance and show a candidate’s approximate ranking.

Ganebnyi explained that the service was created after his own child applied for class X and he needed quick insight into the competition. The tool also highlights schools with high demand and those lacking candidates, and it is intended to complement the official admission system managed by the General Directorate of Education, Youth and Sport, which runs the first admission round until 22 July and plans to open 233 new high‑school classes for the 2026‑2027 year.
