Moldova launches national AI safety campaign for students
The International Center “La Strada”, together with Moldova’s Ministry of Education and Research, has launched a national campaign titled “Hai să utilizăm inteligență artificială în siguranță”. The initiative targets children and adolescents, promoting responsible use of artificial‑intelligence tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Mistral and Gemini.
A February 2026 survey found that 88 % of Moldovan pupils use AI, with more than 60 % doing so daily or several times a week. Experts advise users to define clear goals, select the appropriate platform and craft precise queries. Specialist Elena Știubei emphasized the need to “put on paper the objectives, the audience and the relevant channels” before employing AI for tasks like research, writing or personal assistance.
